The founder and Chairman of SCDDD, Professor Ibrahim A. Gambari, expressed his sympathy to the Borno State Governor, government, and people regarding the recent devastating flooding in Maiduguri and its environment.
He commended Governor Zulum’s tireless efforts to ensure the best interests of his people and praised the comprehensiveness of the 25-year development plan. Gambari assured Zulum and the people of Borno that the carefully selected resource persons will work diligently to achieve the nine thematic areas of the development and strategic plan.
Deputy Governor Hon. Umar Kadafur, representing Governor Zulum, expressed his gratitude to SCDDD for their commitment to fostering dialogue, capacity building, and strategic development.
He emphasized the significance of the retreat in enhancing the capacity of elected officials to implement the Borno State 25-year development framework and 10-year strategic transformation plan.
Kadafur highlighted the 10 strategic pillars, including peacebuilding, infrastructure, human capital development, economic diversification, social protection, and good governance, which are interconnected and mutually reinforcing.
He urged participants to remain focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented, emphasizing that the future of Borno depends on collective commitments and hard work
